Deep Thoughts About Hurricane Katrina Aftermath
Point to ponder: Does this mean Bush is going to declare war on nature? Or will he make it broader and include naturalism as well? Or maybe he'll keep it goal-oriented and declare war on naturalists?
In reality, I can't believe he's actually trying to justify the federal government's response to this. Less flailing, more firing.

Volunteer Positions - American Red Cross in Greater New York
Any one want to join me tomorrow to volunteer at NY Red Cross?
American Red Cross in Greater New York is assisting National Red Cross efforts by staffing a call center to answer inquiries as a result of Hurricane Katrina. Since opening Saturday morning, we have handled over 1,500 phone calls. The ARC/GNY call center is expected to be open for an extended period of time. We need volunteers to answer the phones, and we need volunteers with training experience to conduct the call center training.
