And then sometimes it's all worth it
The Mayor announced his industrial policy yesterday, which my organization has been arguing for for years. It doesn't cover all of the industrial areas in the city that are threatened, nor does it use zoning to permanently protect industrial areas (even though they're called zones), but it does recognize the problem and address some specific problems we had pointed out to the administration.
WNYC has had the most in-depth coverage and it basically sounds like a conversation in my office. Good times.

Take Yer Pants Off!
* Participants Wanted: fourth Annual No Pants! Subway Ride.
Each year in January, we get a large group of folks to enter the same subway car, pantless. This year's event will take place on Saturday, January 15 at 3p in the afternoon. Let's make this the biggest No Pants yet! The only requirements for participation are:
1) You're willing to take your pants off on the subway
2) You can keep a straight face while doing so
