So much to report:
New (used) computer- I am now in G4 & 19" screen nirvana. Anyone know a non-profit that needs a servicable Mac G3?
Blackout party- a success! thanks to all who came.
Food poisoning- averted! Aramark (aka oppressor of UVA foodservice employees) is shitty. Went to a Mets game on Wednesday with Josh, Kristin, & Susan. Wanted a burger- but I saw an employee a) handle raw meat with his gloves, then b) touch cheese & vegetables without changing gloves or washing hands. I, being an yuppity white person, pointed this out to the employee (he denied it). Then reported this to Aramark supervision, which got me a voicemail message back "regarding a situation about a hamburger". We had a good laugh over that one.
