So in True Lies, the terrorist group Arnold battles is called "Crimson Jihad". When I saw it recently, I thought "yeah right, there's no such thing as communist muslim fundamentalists." but then comes this article, which says there's a group called "People's Muhjehadeen".

My Inner Synergy
In order to harness the great visibility, high public profile, and trusted brand name this blog has, I have decided to sell out Word Up. This multi-faceted initiative will go beyond the ads above from our normal corporate underwriters for classmate reunions, pirated copies of NortonWorks, and penis enlargement kits. I will begin with the following proactive steps:
1. Sell the copyrighted name of "Word Up" to the highest bidder
2. Offer a 10% cut in any future income from intellectual property on this page for up front cash payment of $1,000
3. Rename myself after any company willing to subsidize 50% of my monthly grocery budget (postscripts will now read something like "Michael Bisquick-Coke kicked it at")
I'm taking reader feedback here on any further additions or changes I should make. Proactive changes only, of course...

I know we're not all math wizards, but 44% is NOT a vast majority. George W. Bush might tell you otherwise, but it's not even a majority, it's a plurality. :-(

Pour Some Irony On Me
So I like to listen to the local dinosaur rock (aka butt rock, aka cock rock, aka classic rock) station in NYC. They keep playing these jingoistic sound bites of callers saying things like "Support our troops in demolishing Iraq" in between songs. Now this would be all well and good if they didn't keep playing anti-war themed songs immediately after the sounds clips. Examples of songs that have followed these clips:
"Four Dead in Ohio" by Neil Young
"American Woman" by The Guess Who
"Imagine" by John Lennon
"War Pigs" by Ozzy Osbourne
Not sure if there's a hidden message here, but I think it's interesting that all of the artists who wrote these songs are actually foreigners who made it big in America (Young & Guess Who = Canadian; Lennon & Ozzy = English).
